Moving Along With The Times - Challenge 151 for February

Hello Everyone...

Its time for the new monthly challenge over at

I have made 2 cards for the challenge, 

please scroll further down my post for my 2nd card.

My first card was made for Kathryn who recently celebrated her 50th birthday and I wanted to make her a special card using this fabulous die set from Tonic... it did take me a while to die cut all the items, but once cut, the card came together quite quickly.   I decided to leave most of the die cuts cream and just highlighted certain die cuts with pink ink, which I think makes them pop.

A 21st birthday card for Michael.   Instead of colouring the numbers, I decided to paper piece them as I have a large box of scrap designer papers that I need to use.  A very easy card to create.

I had so much fun creating my card for this challenge... out came my yupo paper, blending solution and lots of ranger inks. My hands didnt get too messy as I wore some gloves. I just love the outcome of my inky playing and used it to go behind this beautiful floral die.

Moving Along With The Times - Challenge 147 for October

The theme of our Challenge this month is a lovely and easy one...

to follow the sketch below.

I always find that when I have a sketch to follow, my card just evolves so quickly.   Isn't this little robbin so cute, such a delight to water-colour.   Also I can use this little bird stamp throughout the year by just water-colouring using different colours and masking off the scarf.

Once I decide who this Christmas card is for, I will personalise it by stamping their name next to the robbin.

ANYTHING GOES

Isn't this a gorgeous girl stamp, it was just perfect for my daughters birthday card.  I knew once she saw it, it would be framed and hung in her bedroom by her makeup mirror, and it is :)

To create my background, I inked the beautiful floral stencil on to water colour card, using distress inks and then added lots of water splashes to add texture to my background.   The girl and sentiment stamps have been heat embossed onto the background.

I had so much fun creating my card for this months challenge... using yupo paper, inks and a hair dryer I created my background and then used this lovely fairy and moon die cut to place on top of my inky background.    The verse says...
